USDA Issues Pandemic Flexibilities for Schools through June 2022

On April 20, 2021, USDA released a range of flexibilities to allow school meal programs to safely reopen in the 21-22 school year. The flexibilities are meant to unsure all students have access to safe, healthy meals. A recent study from Tuft’s University showed meals from school are the healthiest source of food for students, making it vital that we continue to make school meals available to students throughout the 21-22 school year. As always, check with your state agency for state-specific guidance.
