Experiencing Farm to School in Kentucky

Last month, staff members from KEDC, Pro•Team, and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture had the opportunity to host food service directors with a visit to the Salad Days Farm in Versailles, KY.  It was a great learning experience with experts available to answers such as procurement best practice and locating products. The trip helped attendees learn more about Farm to School programs, make new #foodservice connections, and – at the end – enjoy a meal at Wallace Station, a local restaurant that utilizes the fresh produce from Salad Days farms.
