Melissa began her career as a Food Service Director for a non-profit school where she prepared meals for a diverse audience, including being sent on trips around the world such as Sierra Leone, Thailand, and Romania to prepare meals for students and locals alike. This developed a deep passion and skill for making regionally appropriate menus. Her Child Nutrition career has since expanded to working at the state and local level alike, further equipping her with the expertise to craft menus with excellence in both taste and compliance.

Fun Fact:

"I love to learn how to cook new ethnic cuisines, and usually end up making meals on a daily basis from somewhere in Asia due to having had the privilege of cooking with many friends from around this part of the world."
