Colette Tyler, RD, Menu Consultant

Colette knew her passion was to apply her nutrition knowledge in the kitchen. She has 17 years of experience in foodservice, and for the past 9 years, she has specialized in Child Nutrition. There are so many intricacies intertwined around school foodservice and how to make it the best experience possible for student consumers. Her previous experience working for Chartwells K-12 as a multi-state Resident Dietitian has supplied her with a wealth of knowledge and skills in all things Child Nutrition, from USDA regulations to teaching students the fundamentals of nutrition.

What I love about my work: 

I’ve been able to visit many schools across multiple states, and even though there may be differences in backgrounds, there is always a commonality amongst all Child Nutrition employees: passion for feeding their kids nutritious meals.  It is very rewarding to support kitchen staff with various program responsibilities, so that they can focus on doing the most important task of filling bellies and creating smiles.    

Fun Fact: 

Colette is a big kid at heart.  If she could, she would live at Disney World 365 days a year.
