Fresh Eyes Overview

Pro•Team Foodservice Advisors is pleased to offer Fresh Eyes Evaluations. Our unique approach to "Fresh Eyes" is based on the premise that school nutrition directors are busy people with good ideas, but need a “bench” of experienced school nutrition specialists to catalyze their concepts into actionable steps.

A Fresh Eyes evaluation consists of our industry-leading experts visiting your district for a multi-day observation of your complete Child Nutrition Program. The observation includes collaborating with key stakeholders across the district to ensure we have a comprehensive understanding of the program’s needs and challenges. Observing your program allows us to gain a clear understanding of your district’s current child nutrition operations. It creates the foundation for discussing areas with opportunity for growth, who should be engaged in developing approaches, and who should be involved in execution. Your program is truly examined from inside and out, which provides the basis for actionable reports and solutions for your district.

Fresh Eyes Evaluations focus on a number of different aspects of your Child Nutrition Program.

  • Menus and software system

  • Program marketing

  • Cafeteria design and operations

  • Staffing

  • Administrative review preparation

  • Food safety plans, and policy and procedure manuals

Administrative Review Preparation

Preparing for an administrative review can be a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. We have the knowledge and experience you need to get through a successful review without a hassle. We observe meal service, review production records and supporting documents for the day of service, week of review and reference to prior months documents linked to the day and/or week in the cycle. We sit down with you to discuss compliance and non-compliance with USDA meal pattern and offer vs. serve requirements. Our comprehensive understanding and approach to preparing for administrative reviews will make your next review a breeze.

Food Safety Plans & Policy and Procedure Manuals

Practicing food safety and having sound policy and procedure manuals are central to operating a successful Child Nutrition Program. We’ve been there. We know how important they are, but we also know the time it takes to develop a thorough Food Safety Plan and in-depth Policy and Procedure Manuals. Our seasoned consultants have the expert knowledge and spend the time you don’t have to create the plans and manuals your program needs to thrive.
